Volunteer success story: Kirsten Taki

Kirsten volunteers her time at Create Common Good doing program coordination, refugee trainee and fundraising research. She explains what the experience has been for her:

“In a word: motivating. This organization has taught me so much about what it means to do good. Being surrounded by the refugees in our community and all of the other individuals who make CCG work has moved me tremendously. Seeing how much time and energy each person puts into CCG to better the lives of others really inspires and encourages me to do good. I feel like my time spent with CCG has made me a better person.

It means so much when every single person involved is there because they truly want to be. Volunteers and staff alike are so effective because they so strongly believe in the work that they do. This work warms the hearts of those involved. CCG is one of the best things I have ever been a part of - I feel so fortunate to have received the opportunity to work within such a wonderful community.”
